Away on Vacations & Blog Statistics

Yes, it is true, 3 whole weeks and I deserve them! Because I work... a lot! during the rest of the year! When I am not playing Darkfall and reading Forumfall and typing posts for the blog and... I work a lot!!!

These vacations from DF also come at a very good time because I can't keep up with EU1 Clan Discussion forums with the amount of posts that keep popping up! You know, with that APEX, ZAGENDA and apparently RA thingy.

As I will be mostly away from the city where I live and where my super desktop is located, I won't be playing much Darkfall. I'll take my laptop with me but I think I will only log in to pay rent in my beautiful house in Quica village (still have an Ildstein to sell in the vendor by the way - material for the r80 Greataxe; the radian stell already got sold).

As the blog was started a semi-decent amount of time ago, despite all the cancellation periods in-between, I thought it would be interesting to post the STATISTICS that the blog has gotten to date.

Notes: The statistics are "page views" and not "unique visitors" and they are a bit biased towards Portugal because that is where I hail from and thus, I inflate the view counts.

DanesLaw tried to steal Immortals' Home o_O

Two days ago, we were lying around Gulghat when someone suggested playing a game of Mafia in Starcraft 2. I havent played SC2 in a long long long while, but I'm told this game of Mafia is different than the usual. I patch up my SC2 and there I go to play Mafia for the first time with 3 other Immortals and 21 other random strangers.

The game is quite funny, even if I still haven't fully understood it. There are Towns People, Mafia baddies and I think neutral people. The objective goes more or less like this: Mafia has to kill everyone non-Mafia and everyone else has to kill the Mafia. Then you can chat with people to try and save your skin and vote to hang someone. But anyways, when we are in the middle of this game, we get a warning from a clan mate that we have just been siege declared by DanesLaw O.O

We quickly leave SC2, ruining the other 21 strangers' game, and log in to Darkfall again. We look for the siegestones (2 large), and find them north of the city on the mountains and no signs of vikings anywhere. I've got to get up early in the morning to go to work but there I stay up until almost 2 am getting ready bags (ready) and dueling/doing other stuff thats needs doing. These sieges stirr up emotions which make Darkfall such a great game and that kept me up longer than I should have. I mean, these nordic savages want to steal and pillage our home and only city?!?! .p

Hello Bourgeoisie lifestyle!

Picking up on my last entry... I rode from Ottenhal chaos city to Ghulgat, Immortal's city on the eastern side of Agon. As I rode there, I found one chaos chest on my way. But this chaos chest was special... it gave me the only good thing I have ever gotten from a chaos chest: a house deed :D a.k.a ticket to a vendor with exorbitantly priced items for sale!

For those of you who don't know, a house deed enables you to "capture" a vacant house in one of the many villages. The ranking system of housing is (from smallest to largest): cottage, house, villa, large villa and keep. So it's not the best but at least it isn't the peasentry cottage!

I know that houses are somewhat vacant nowadays... before, they used to be all taken up and when one was about to get vacant, there was a lot of PvP to capture it, as they were highly valued. They sold for 1-3 millions (I think) so it wasn't something that would naturally be opened to me. But due to a lower population, there are vacant houses here and there which means HELLO WINDOWS AND CURTAINS!

Back to the riding...

Clan developments (Immortals) and Iklits Dungeon

[these events took place 2 weeks ago because I am a slacker (except irl job, there I'm brilliant... really!!)]

So, there I am... all alone, besides chaos bank, in sweet Ottenhal...

My 2 clan mates are away for different reasons: one stopped playing after 1 day of Darkfall and the other is on a 1-week long vacation, abandoning me to be PKed freely! :(

Thankfully, I have some old friends who also resubscribed recently, from Eqvilibrivm Order (old Bluefield's Treaty Alliance) times, with whom I have reconnected.

One of them is blue and bound in a human city, the other is red and bound in the southern chaos-city of Espenhal (but she's praying faithfully everyday to get back on god's good graces!). So, on a lonely week-day evening, I joined their mumble and we arranged to go to a dungeon with Tomb Iklits. These mobs only do melee and only take melee damage. They are toughish to kill but if you are with at least 1 more person, you can melee haste/heal each other and it's easy to kill them.
